lyrics

Dear one-eyed friend the giant made out of stone,
you’ve heard my story a thousand times.

And I'll tell it once more
and then i’ll let you sleep again.
I will tell it once more
and I’ll let you sleep again.

I hope there’s someone
to carry my lantern,
to accept this heritage

The only bit of mercy
is the solid ground under my feet.

It burns to lay eyes on the ocean,
on the mirror of the lost years.
It burns to stand under this wind,
under the last breath of our world.

I’m nothing more than a messenger
to deliver and serve.
But if there’s no-one to receive
I’m just fucking deadweight.
Just fucking deadweight.

I’ll take this dive in search for more comfortable pain.
I will take this dive to wash this blood away.

The only bit of mercy
is the solid ground under my feet.

It burns to lay eyes on the ocean,
on the mirror of the lost years.
It burns to stand under this wind,
under the last breath of our world.

Please accept my heritage.
It’s on my skin, it’s in my bones.

Please carry my lantern and never let it sleep,
never let it sleep.
